Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how YU's INDIA ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses and protects your personal information when you visit or shop on our website. By using this website, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
- Account & order information: name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, order history and communications with us.
- Payment information: we do not store your full card number. Card and digital-wallet payments are processed by our payment partners (e.g. Stripe, Razorpay, LINE Pay); we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed, and a partial reference for support purposes.
- 7-Eleven pickup: if you choose store pickup, the store name and address you provide are stored with your order to arrange collection.
- Account credentials: if you create an account, a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text) and, if you choose, a verified phone number or a linked Google/Facebook sign-in.
- Usage & device information: pages visited, browser type, approximate location (from IP address) and similar technical data, collected via cookies and analytics only if you consent (see Section 6).
- Communications: messages you send us via the contact form, email or our LINE account, including any attachments (e.g. photos of a damaged item).
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- process and fulfil your orders, including delivery and customer support;
- confirm payments and prevent fraud;
- communicate with you about your orders, account, and (only with your consent) marketing and new arrivals;
- improve our website, products and services;
- comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Who We Share Information With
- Payment processors (Stripe, Razorpay, LINE Pay) to process payments.
- Delivery and logistics providers (e.g. postal services, 7-Eleven/ECPay for store pickup) to deliver your order.
- Service providers who help us run the website (hosting, email delivery, analytics), bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Legal or regulatory authorities, where required by law.
We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
5. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including:
- encrypted connections (HTTPS) between your browser and our website;
- passwords stored using industry-standard one-way hashing (scrypt) — we cannot see or recover your password;
- payment details handled entirely by PCI-compliant payment partners — our servers never see your full card number;
- access to customer data restricted to staff who need it to do their jobs, with an audit log of administrative actions;
- rate-limiting and other safeguards against unauthorised access attempts.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using these safeguards and review them periodically.
6. Cookies & Analytics
We use only essential cookies to operate the store (e.g. keeping items in your cart, remembering your session). With your consent, given via the cookie banner, we also use analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your cookies or adjusting your browser settings; essential cookies cannot be disabled as they are required for the site to function.
7. Data Retention
We retain your order and account information for as long as your account is active, and afterwards for as long as needed to comply with our legal, tax and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may ask us to delete your account data at any time, subject to these obligations.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- request access to the personal information we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate information;
- request deletion of your information, subject to our legal retention obligations;
- withdraw consent to marketing communications or analytics cookies at any time;
- ask how your information is used and who it is shared with.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 11.
9. International Data Transfers
As we operate between India and Taiwan (and use service providers that may be located elsewhere), your information may be transferred to and processed in a country other than the one in which you live. We take steps to ensure such transfers are handled with appropriate safeguards.
10. Children's Privacy
Our website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
